Ash Cloud to Cost Easyjet £75m
Easyjet predicts the total cost of this years ash cloud debacle could cost them from £50m to £75m in lost profits. The budget carrier has reported a loss of £78m for the 6 months to March 2010 although this will be offset by the summer holiday season. They have forecast annual profits of £100m. So despite the major disruption and huge costs absorbed by airline, Easyjet will still be very profitable – so it’s not such a disaster after all is it?
